Part of the Center for the First-Year Experience, the Transfer Transition Program was created in 2010 to support and improve the experience of transfer students at UW–Madison. We want every transfer student to have access to the resources they need for personal and academic success, to feel a sense of belonging, and to create their own unique Wisconsin Experience. We work towards this goal by shaping a campus environment that encourages and supports positive academic and social engagement. Whether you are preparing to transfer or have already enrolled at UW–Madison, the Transfer Transition Program can assist you in making the transition to becoming a UW student.
We are located at 155 William S Middleton Building, in the Center for the First-Year Experience office. You can reach us by phone: 608-890-4690, email: transfer@studentaffairs.wisc.edu, or submit a request.

Student Para-professional Opportunities
Every year the Transfer Transition Program hires a number of students to help us offer great programming and services to our incoming transfer students. We’re looking for a diverse group of transfer students from a variety of institutions who are enthusiastic, creative, and eager to help new students. Keep an eye on the student job board and in our newsletter for hiring updates. The application for TTP Intern positions is currently open and will close early January 2023. If the Intern position isn’t what you are looking for, we’ll be hiring Transfer Student Coordinators in late February.
