Transfer Engagement Center

The Transfer Engagement Center, also known as the TEC (pronounced “tek”), is a dedicated space for transfer students at UW–Madison. If you have a question or need help but don’t know where to go, we’re the place for you. We’re located in the Middleton Building, 1305 Linden Dr., in room 110. Stop in, and we will help you get wherever you need to go or come and meet other transfers, study, or take a moment to rest.

TEC Resources:

  • Free coffee, tea, and snacks
  • Free printing
  • Community fridge freely accessible for students’ use
  • Regular events

TEC Hours

  • Mon-Thu: 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
  • Fri: 8 a.m.–2 p.m.

We are always open during the fall and spring semesters.

TEC Events

The Transfer Transition Program (TTP) hosts transfer student-specific events throughout the Fall and Spring semesters. Feel free to bring guests regardless of their transfer student or UW–Madison student status. The best way to stay informed about upcoming TTP events is to read our weekly newsletter.
